3 Day exhibit during Art Basel Miami
In conjunction with Art Basel, Miami and its surrounding Art Fairs, Art Whino will present three exhibitions unified in one space. The focus this year will be to present New Brow’s distinct subcultures to the Art Basel world. The custom vinyl exhibit will showcase the premiere artists in this genre. With a series of large scale murals, we will bring street art indoors and accompany each colossal piece with smaller works by each artist. Finally, we will team up with Hope Gallery to bring Quick & Painful. This exhibit will feature the work of more than 15 important artists and designers with backgrounds in fine art, graffiti, and illustration in a unique exhibition where Fine Art becomes tattooed skin. The exhibition will be located in the heart of the Wynwood Arts District along with other accompanying art fairs.

New painting for Sweet Streets
In the 1980s, America saw the resurgence of Hello Kitty, Studio Ghibli's first films, and anime blockbusters like "Akira" which continue to captivate artists. Our host- Japanese fashion label SPANK!- is not only inspired by 80s style, but also the "just want to have fun attitude" of Cyndi Lauper, My Little Pony, Barbie, and everything in between. Today in Japan, these American 80's icons are charming an entirely new generation.

Print Release, new customs, signing and live painting at New York Comic Con.
Howdy, I am excited to say that I will be showing at New York Comic Con which opens it's doors tomorrow, October 13 - 16, 2011. I will be releasing a new limited edition print Friday during my signing at My Plastic Heart's booth. I will also be live painting live at The Art Whino Booth Friday and Saturday. Urchin Print Release
Jeremiah Ketner, well-known for his pop surrealistic paintings and custom toy work, is releasing a print of Urchin, one of the enchanting sprites featured in his recent show, Magical Place, at myplasticheart. The print is limited to 30 and each is signed and numbered (price TBD). They’ll be available at the beginning of NYCC and during Jeremiah’s signing on Friday (time TBD) at the myplasticheart booth #879.
